The Merry Widow
is the story of Danilo and his former love, Madame Anna Glavari (The Merry Widow). Anna must be prevented from marrying a Frenchman as this will cause a financial disaster for the tiny principality of Pontevedro. Baron Zeta enlists Danilo to woo Anna, but things do not go well as the two don't hit it off as before - Anna thinking Danilo is after her money. Whilst this plot continues (they do of course end up together) Baron Zeta's wife, Valancienne, is carrying off with anothre man, Camille de Rosillon. All kinds of problems occur when Camille writes 'I Love You' on Valancienne's fan - this contains most of the comedy in the operetta (and it is a funny show), but the main plot ends with Danilo admitting that he does love Anna and all are happy!

The Merry Widow conatins some of the following songs:

So Many Men Admire Me • The Merry Widow Waltz • You'll Find Me At Maxim's • Women! Women! Women! • Vilia • Driving In The Park With You
