Little Shop Of Horrors
Meet The Cast
|
Jonathan Sanders - Seymour Krelborn
This is Jonathan's 2nd show with HMM following Carousel last year. He is no stranger to the stage, especially at
the KMT, where he first started at the age of 15 performing in Les Miserables as The Bishop of Digne/Grantaire. At the KMT, he has also been in Avenue Q as
Bad Idea Bear, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella as Prince Christopher, Parade as Young Soldier/Frankie and most recently Hairspray
as Corny Collins. He has also performed in several plays including One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest as Billy Bibbit and
My Boy Jack as Guardsman McHugh. He spent nearly 6 years working as a dancer in Disneyland Resort Paris and recently was lucky enough to be part of the newest Honda advert which
has just been released on TV all over Europe. Jonathan is so excited to be playing the role of Seymour alongside this wonderful cast.

Molly Taylorson - Crystal
This is Molly's first show with HMM, but is not a stranger to performing. Whilst at college, she has performed in many productions including Oliver! (playing Mr Sowerberry),
Blood Brothers (playing Mickey), Sweeney Todd, A Little Princess, The Matchgirls (playing Annie Beasant) and Angry Birds (playing Richard Peahen/Annie Kestrel).
She admits to being a very busy person, going to university, working three jobs and constantly rehearsing - but still finding time to chill and watch plenty of films and TV! She has been
thoroughly enjoying rehearsing for Little Shop and is equally excited and terrified about the tricky harmonies and movement!
|
Vanessa Dumatey - Ronnette
Vanessa is extremely excited to perform her first show with HMM after being cast in Little Shop Of Horrors. She has been performing since the age of 7 and has been a part of many
productions elsewhere, including: Little Inez in Hairspray, Fizzy in Bugsy Malone, Dancer in Aladdin, Miss Hannigan in Annie, A Dynamite in Hairspray
and a School girl/ Ensemble in Moby Dick.
Vanessa is an active member of the Karis May Darling Foundation and Choir and had the opportunity to sing with JLS. This was then featured on the ITV show 'Surprise Surprise'. In December
2014, she performed at Southbank Theatre in the Grand Finale of the Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge. She cannot wait to bring Ronnette alive!

Nicola O'Neill - Chiffon
Nicola joined HMM in 2011, singing '9 to 5' in her first concert with us. She has been a regular since then and has enjoyed singing a variety of songs from 'Turn Back, O Man' in
Godspell, through to a selection of Andrew Sisters numbers! Most recently, she played Greta in Witches Of Eastwick. Little Shop of Horrors is Nicola's 10th show
with HMM and is exactly what she enjoys - some fun harmony singing with a bit of dancing too! Before joining HMM, Nicola performed in productions at college including playing Margaret
Mead in 'Hair' - a production that two other members of the Society were involved in. But don't worry, that infamous scene wasn't played 'true' to the book!
|
James Knowles - Mr Mushnik
James has now been with HMM for a year, joining for their memorial concert An Evening for Maurice & Eileen and has since been in The Likes of Us as Thomas Barnado, and The
Witches of Eastwick as Reverend Ed Parsley. His time with HMM follows from previous productions having played Captain Tempest in Return to the Forbidden Planet, Koko in The
Mikado, Giuseppe in The Gondoliers, Mr Bumble in Oliver! and Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls. Not only does he perform on stage, James has dabbled with
behind the scenes work as lighting/sound controller and even as director (and in the process has learnt the hard way why you should not attempt to do all this in the same production if
you want to keep your sanity!)

Jake Portsmouth - Orin
Jake first performed with HMM in 2011 as Sam in Crazy For You and has enjoyed a number of roles since then. He has performed many shows at the Queen's Theatre including 4
Community Plays, numerous youth theatre and college shows as well as 5 shows with HMM. He has also appeared at the Brentwood Theatre in a number of plays such as A Streetcar
Named Desire and Animal Farm, and has played the title role in Macbeth and Florizel in The Winter's Tale. With HMM, Jake has played Fagin in Oliver!,
The Heavenly Friend in Carousel, Joe in Calamity Jane, Fagin in Oliver! and, most recently, Michael in The Witches Of Eastwick. Jake is happy to be back
at the KMT playing an "egotistical pretty-boy"...much acting required...
|
Shaun Lee - Audrey 2 (The Voice!)
Shaun joined HMM earlier this year and performed in The Witches of Eastwick in July. Shaun is relatively new to musical theatre, but has a lot of experience as a musician, playing Bass,
Acoustic Guitar and Piano. He has played in various bands, toured across the UK and has done some session work. He also supported Ed Sheeran and Wretch 32 during a
Musicalize charity event at The O2. More recently, he has been focusing on work as a Sound Engineer - engineering live events and working as a Sound Production Mixer / Boom Operator on some
independent feature films and TV shows for Sky and BBC3. He has recently set up his own production company and is currently writing a screenplay which will be going into production next year.
Little Shop is his favourite musical and he is hugely excited to be playing his favourite antagonist!

|
Helen Pree - Wino, Customer & Mrs Luce
Helen played the role of Baby Louise in Gypsy at the Piccadilly Theatre with Angela Lansbury...a few (*cough*) years back. She joined HMM in 2005 and has been an integral
part of our dancing troupe since then. She has also taken various principal roles including Mrs Mullin in Carousel Mrs Sowerberry in Oliver!, Tess in Crazy For
You and Helene in Sweet Charity. She was also Director of the last show HMM performed at the KMT, Calamity Jane. Helen is a karate instructor, but there is no
truth in the rumour that Helen gets parts with HMM because the audition panel are afraid of her...none at all.
|
David Boushel - Wino, Customer, Skip Snip & Patrick Martin
Since he joined ELODS in 1997 and performed his first show, Sweet Charity, David has enjoyed too many productions to mention, but particular favourite roles include Finch in
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (possibly the only thing he has in common with Daniel Radcliffe) and Joe/Josephine in Sugar. This is now David's
7th show with HMM although it has been a couple of years since he last tread the boards with us. Previous roles with us include Horace Vandergelder in Hello, Dolly! and Lank
in Crazy For You. So after playing rude, obnoxious characters, it's nice to have a variety of characters to choose from!

Ellen O'Shea - Audrey 2 (Puppeteer)
Ellen was most recently seen flying with HMM at the Queen's Theatre playing Alex in The Witches Of Eastwick. She started performing at the age of 6 and has performed at
the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican and Palladium with VOX and at the O2 with the Les Miserables cast. Ellen first performed with HMM in The Mikado at the Kenneth More
Theatre in 2013 - she got hooked and has been in every HMM show since! She has enjoyed playing various roles, but is most happy as a wench and particuarly enjoyed Rose
(the happy hooker) in The Likes Of Us at the QT in January this year. She is no stranger to Audrey 2, as she was the voice of Audrey 2 in a [college?] production [many?] years ago.
She is looking forward to a different perspective this time around!
