Malcolm Ball - Musical Director
Malcolm Ball began his music education by studying piano and
later orchestration and arranging. He studied electronic music
and composition at the Royal College of Music London where he
became increasingly interested in percussion leading to special
projects in Eastern music. In 1986 he was appointed percussion
examiner for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and
has had graded music published for examinations. As well as
writing and arranging, Malcolm continues to be very active as a
freelance musician , including being Musical Director for such
shows as Crazy for You, Sweet Charity, Good News, Hello
Dolly, Me and My Girl, The Slipper and the Rose, Promises
Promises, The Music Man, Brundibar (Hans Krasa), Kinneret (Opera
for All Productions), West Side Story and various
compilation concerts.

Sue Munn - Co-Director/Choreographer
Sue trained at the Bush Davies School of Dancing
gaining Advanced Levels of Tap, Ballet and Modern dance. She has danced in many
shows for various local societies, her favoruite being 42nd Street. Sue has
played a number of leading roles in dance and drama including Dream Laurey in
'Oklahoma', Alithea in 'Lust', Patty in 'Charlie Brown' and recently played
Gladys in 'Stepping Out'. She has choreographed shows for Basildon Operatic, HMM
and CDOT including 'Oklahoma', 'Guys & Dolls', 'Anything Goes', 'Annie Get
Your Gun' and 'Kiss Me Kate'. This is the second time Sue has co-directed an HMM
winter concert (the first being 'Musical Mystery Tour') and she is looking
forward to choreographing 'Guys & Dolls' for us in the summer.

Christine Presland - Co-Director/Choreographer
Chris' performing experience started at The Academy Drama
School, where she gained Lamda acting medals. Whilst at college,
she joined HMM and her parts in shows at the Queen’s Theatre
include Minnie Fay in ‘Hello Dolly’, Sally Smith in ‘Me
and My Girl’ and most recently Jane Raeburn in ‘Salad Days’.
Chris has also choreographed and directed for Eastbury Players.
Chris’ primary talent is dancing and she has choreographed for
HMM in ‘The Time Show’, ‘Stars’ and ‘Salad Days’ at
the Queen’s and also ‘A Variety Show’ and ‘A Show of Two
Halves’ at Campion School. She trained in tap at the Italia
Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and is a member of the Imperial
Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

Stuart Rush - Compiler/Assistant
MD
Stuart has been involved with HMM for over
17 years now, in various roles as accompanist, compiler, arranger, co-MD
and is now an Honorary Member of the group. Stuart studied piano and
composition at the Royal Academy of Music and has worked as a freelance
accompanist, arranger and composer but he has primarily played for
Performing Arts colleges such as Bird College and The Centre. Stuart has
just finished a run as MD of Snow White at the Kenneth More Theatre in
Ilford, where he has MD'd the last 4 pantomimes. Some of his favourite
shows to be involved in over the years have been Snoopy, Honk, Return to
the Forbidden Planet, Slice Of Saturday Night, Nunsense and Bye Bye
Birdie. Stuart will be keeping us entertained as accompanist for Guys
& Dolls!
